| Lauren Ashley is a student at Texas A & M University. She has been playing harp since age 12. Lauren was exposed to harp music all her young years by Kristen Ohlson Gram , her first harp teacher. She also studied one year with Meagan Metheney . In high school she studied under Delaine Fedson of the University of Texas. She enjoyed the UT string project for 3 years and was a member of the Austin Youth Symphony Orchestra her four years of high school, and played with the Young Texas Harp Ensemble. This unique group of harpists, under the direction of Delaine Fedson, plays a concert at the Capitol Rotunda every Christmas holiday. |
